Temple puzzle cenre piece concept, texture and model

After sketching inital concepts on paper, I moved on to a quick digital mock-up using the colours used in the first puzzle concept, made by Liam. 

A replacement model was needed for the centre piece itself. This was created to match the one that already existed in engine but could no longer be used.

The texture for the stone was reused from the previous centre piece model as per suggestion. The rings for the puzzle pieces were added in afterwards, and the segments and holes were made via bump mapping.

The finished model turned out like this:
